In Estonian mythology Maa - Ema, Mother Earth, spouse of the sky. The image of the Earth as the mother of all things goes back to the earliest era of human development and is found already in the Palaeolithic. In the mythology of many nations, it is the oldest deity. Her name recalls the Egyptian Maat and Namma of the ancient Sumerians, Ma in Crete, Malaysia, India and Africa... The common roots of peoples, the cultural relationship of the oldest concepts, I wanted to show with this painting.
 
And in the course of the work, a song was composed in her honor: "Beloved Mother, Mother Earth! With the emeralds of forests and jade fields, I will furnish you! With pearls of high mountain snow and sapphires of deep lakes, turquoise rivers and rubies of fire, I will decorate your face!"
